Dhanushka Fonseka

Mr. Dhanushka Fonseka counts over 25 years of leadership experience in the areas of finance, lending, marketing and corporate strategy. Throughout his career, he has built a solid reputation for driving business growth, spearheading operational transformation and advancing financial inclusion within Sri Lanka’s financial services industry.
Prior to joining Softlogic Finance PLC, Mr. Fonseka held several senior positions at Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC, including Director (Non-Board) from 2013 and Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 2019. In these roles, he was instrumental in enhancing the company’s market presence and operational efficiency.
In addition to his extensive financial services background, Mr. Fonseka has also served as a Director at Fairview Hotels Ltd and Mercantile Fortunes Insurance Brokers Ltd. He has been an active contributor to the broader industry, serving on the Finance Houses Association (FHA) Council and holding the position of Vice President in 2023. His key areas of expertise include strategic planning, credit evaluation, client risk management and regulatory advocacy.
